Dinosaurs on Wheels sets up a fund-raising page at World Bicycle Relief

When we set out to do our cross-country bike trip we heard from many who wanted to hear how we are doing and follow our progress.  It's the reason I set up this blog account.  My brother Jerry set up a Facebook page, also named Dinosaurs on Wheels (we've really embraced this theme - let us know if it's too obnoxious).  Since I am not a Facebooker, that wasn't in the cards for me.  I know, the world's on Facebook, all but me.
Some of my friends and colleagues, when I told them what we are planning, asked if we were doing this for charity.  Actually, this was not the reason for our ride, but if we could make a difference in someone else's life by raising awareness and funds for a worthy cause, we would love to do so.
What could be a better, and more apt cause than to look to change someone's life with the power of a bicycle.  World Bicycle Relief is changing lives by giving bicycles to those in dire need, making the world a bit smaller, and a bit better.  They build, donate, and support the use of bicycles to change lives.  In many developing countries, distance presents a challenge that's hard to overcome.  It limits the potential for full and happy lives for millions because of limited access to important things like education, healthcare, and access to markets.  World Bicycle relief builds and donates sturdy bikes designed to work where there are few roads and fewer opportunities.
We've created a team page to raise funds at World Bicyle Relief.
If this is something you think is worthy, and you'd like to donate and change someone's life through the power of pedals, please think about supporting our team.  If you want to spread the word, please send out the link:

Thank you for your support
